David Coluccio OAM, Principal

B.A., M.A. (Int.St), M.B.A., GAICD

Principal and co-founder of Senexus, David possesses extensive knowledge of the aged care sector and service providers within South Australia, and is an active participant within the Australian aged care sector. David has more than 15 years executive management experience in the areas of health, medicine, higher education and community services. Previous roles have included senior management positions at the University of Adelaide and Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.

David describes himself as an advocate for quality, accessible aged care, and passionately believes that all South Australians should be able to access excellent aged care services when they need it. A strong believer in the importance of community building and community service, David was, until recently, the Chairman of the Cure4CF Foundation, a not-for-profit charity raising millions of dollars for innovative local medical research to develop a cure for cystic fibrosis airway disease. David also loves spending time being a dad to his two young children, Alessandra and Sebastian, and indoctrinating them to become passionate supporters of his beloved Port Adelaide Football Club.

David was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2021 for service to people living with cystic fibrosis and to the community.

Hilda Zuvela, Aged Care Consultant

An experienced aged care consultant with a background in social work, Hilda has extensive experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and families across many aspects of aged care.

A strong advocate for older adults and their families as they navigate the complexities of their lives, Hilda is highly experienced in working with individuals to identify their needs, provide emotional support, and connect them with essential supports and resources.

With a passion for connecting with and supporting older adults and their families, Hilda volunteers across a number of organisations, actively participating in initiatives to enhance the well-being of her local community. Her commitment to helping others, combined with her experience, ensure families feel supported and confident in their choices as they navigate access to aged care.

Sylvia Day, Aged Care Consultant

Prior to joining the team at Senexus, Sylvia worked in residential aged care admissions for Anglicare (SA) and Southern Cross Care assisting families to locate care suitable aged care for their loved ones across metropolitan Adelaide. Sylvia is passionate about simplifying the process for families and guiding them through the myriad of regulatory requirements when they are at their most vulnerable.

Sylvia’s work experiences have centred around the health system – in pharmacies assisting families in the community, as a dialysis technician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, pathology lab technician, and as a trainer and educator for pharmacy assistants and managers. These experiences have allowed Sylvia to confidently help people needing various support services to meet their critical health concerns.

Sylvia’s well-respected abilities and experience lie in her attention to detail and her empathetic and proactive approach in uncovering client needs. Sylvia is a keen problem-solver and enjoys a challenge. Her success is built upon an honest and respectful communication style that is focussed on seeking the best outcomes for families.

Matthew Cragg, Retirement Living Consultant

Matt has extensive experience within the retirement living and aged care sectors as former CEO of a boutique residential aged care provider, and as an executive manager at one of South Australia's largest retirement living, residential aged care and home care providers. Matt offers expert advice to clarify the array of independent living and supported living options available as well as simplify the various contract structures and explain upfront and deferred costs.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree as well as an Masters of Business Administration. Outside of work, he is a devoted family man who enjoys time at the beach with his wife, children, and family dogs, as well as coaching his children’s soccer and basketball teams.

Ursula Henderson, Principal

B.A., GDip.Inf.Stud, GCert.Online.Learn(Higher.Ed.)

Principal and co-founder of Senexus, Ursula has an extensive background working with individuals and families to support their information needs, and is skilled at making complex information accessible and understandable. Ursula has more than 10 years experience in the information services industry, primarily within the higher education, local government and health sectors.

When it comes to aged care Ursula describes herself as a firm believer in choice and the need to assist individuals and families to make the decisions that will best suit their unique needs. While strongly supporting openness and transparency in aged care services, she is well aware that the wealth of information can make decisions harder rather than easier. Working with individuals and families to reduce the burden and make the process easier is something that she is passionate about.
